If you're thinking of buying the car after the lease term, wouldn't you want it fixed correctly with genuine Saab parts? Your dealer no doubt has a good body shop or can refer you to one he uses. He doesn't want any headaches coming back to him either. The dealer won't remember 2 1/2 years from now that you backed into a tree at your lease end. The only thing the lease company will be concerned with, does the car look right. If you have the car fixed at Fred's body shop and they do a crap job, then it'll look even worse at turn-in time. Just because you are leasing the car is no reason to take the cheap way out.
Do the right thing.
