I and others have had a similar problem with our 9³'s and Viggens. I initially thought it was the pad moving in the caliper. What it was, though, was the split lower front a-arms. SAAB revised the torque spec due to the added load of the HOT engine and the large diameter wheels for the bolts where the arms come together and where the rear arm joins the subframe.
We had this fixed under warrantee, your dealer may do it for free out of good will since you are just out of warrantee. The first diagnosis cost SAAB quite a bit of coin due to tracking down the problem and replacing many good parts, but in my case I merely gave them the service write up and they fixed the issue right off. The other benefit is the steering feels much more responsive and the front end a bit 'tighter.'
I don't have the service write-up with me, but I can scan tomorrow and mail it to you if you think it would help you out.
later,
tony
