I've always noticed that with Saabs I've owned over the past 20 years. I also notice it with a lot of modern cars here in Canada. I've come to the conclusion that it has something to do with the A/F ratios used during warm up and the fact that others are only just catching up with Saabs' engine management wizardry.
Water vapor out the tailpipe is a good indication of optimized combustion.
