One way to tell if they fixed it. (longish)

Look at the invoice. Does it say something like "heater box assembly replacement"? If not, they didn't fix it. Listen. If its not fixed and it break after the warranty is done, it will mean $$$. My new knob doesn't feel stiff (no wise cracks). And everything lines up perfectly. The air only comes out of the vent the knob is set on. Personally, I think they didn't fix the whole thing. Just like me. I took it in after I broke it. The knob didn't work (again, no wise cracks). They said they fixed it but it acted just like yours. I took it back and told the dealer about what I read about the TSB and told them I wanted it fixed right. They didn't hesitate and fixed it that same day. Take it back. I resisted, for the same reason at first (I didn't want to be petty nor did I want to be without my SAAB). But after I thought about the consequences (plus I was upset they didn't fix it right the first time) I took it right back. Just do it. Good Luck.
