Consider Aftermarket 17" Forged Alloy Rims

My wife's Audi TT has forged 17" rims from the factory. Guess why Audi opted for forged rims? No problems, and she runs over everything.
Forged is much stronger than cast aluminum. Surely one of the aftermarket wheel suppliers offers a forged wheel. This is not just a Viggen problem. Stay with a design without so much free space between the wheel spokes (my cast 16" Vikings on my 94 SE are ugly but durable as there is little free space between spokes), Tire Rack offers a wide variety of wheels and can give you recommendations.
As careful as you are, sooner or later you WILL hit a pothole.
