What the heck: my 9^3 test drive, too

I test drove a manual Linear on Saturday at International in Falls Church, VA. They had no problem letting me test drive one despite the girl I was with and I were covered in mud from flag football :-) I wanted to be skeptical about everything...most of it was warrented. However, I won't reiterate others' comments.
As an aspiring human factors engineer, I understand the motivation for having the SID near the line-of-sight. However, whoever promoted the design forgot that when you push a button you shouldn't have to look 8" vertically and 20" horizontally to see the result.
I came away most impressed by the handling in the turns. Even though my passenger and I complained immediately about the jarring suspension, I was terribly impressed when we took an on-ramp at about 20 mph faster than I could have in my '01. Doing somewhere around 40-50 mph, the car exhibited _no_ body roll! After exiting the turn, we looked at each other grinning and agreed there was no way my 9³ could have done that.
I haven't heard anyone else complain how slow the Linear (175 hp) is, but most could gather that from the numbers. My passenger encourged me to finally floor it even after I had a couple times. On the brighter side, the turbo needle flies left to right like it's on fast forward.
Though I'll go back in the spring to test drive the 210 hp Vector/Arc, as long as the girl I test drive it with tells me the hatch is hotter, I'll keep mine :-)

'01 9³SE--and 8k under sticker so even a cheaply-stickered 9³SS would be more expensive.
