Hi.

I have the SAS bar. It was not difficult to install - in fact, I can't see how the Abbott bar could be any easier to install. They both go the same place, where the most difficult bits are the brake lines. You simply need to have patience and be careful when you install the new bar, and it will take 30 minutes, tops. I am a mechanical neophyte, and I managed to pull it off.

As for the ride, I don't recall any noticeable harshness following the SAS bar installation. Rear seat passengers had nothing negative to report, either. The car simply cornered much flatter, and the rear end felt more assured. I still had (have) understeer elements, but the SAS bar encouraged far more confidence in day-to-day spirited driving.

I have not experienced the Abbott bar, so I can't speak to the differences in driving qualities between the two. I think that, like many things, this is a very subjective element of your car's "feel". It's going to be very difficult to pin this down, as some will prefer one bar over the other. Perhaps you can find people in your area who have fitted one or the other bar who will be kind enough to give you a spin in their car? That would be the best tool for making your decision.

Either way, good luck. You will definitely enjoy the improvement a new swaybar provides.
