I bought a rim/tire set for my Saab in the 195-60-15" fitment, Firestone Graspic DS-1 and they drive like a tractor in the snow, but the dry road handling is aweful and quick menuevers makes the car feel likes it's mushy. I don't recommend these tires.
I just picked up a set of Semperit Sport Grips in a 205-55-16 fitment and the dry road holding is amazing foir a snow tire. They are a softer compound and have lots of little biting edges, but are not as aggressive as other tires (they look a little like the Pirelli sport snow tire). We've only had a dusting of snow and they seem pretty good, but the first real snow storm will be the true test. Best thing is the tires are only $65 (U.S.) shipping to you door.
