SID-2 Engine/cabin heater turns on reverse lights ? Posted by Flemming W [Email] (#1798) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Flemming W) on Sat, 23 Nov 2002 06:01:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just bought a 2000 9-3 55.000 miles.
The car has the integrated petrol engine/cabin heater, controlled from SID-2.
Nice device, I set to start at 7.00, and at 7.20 the engine and cabin is nice warm (late November in Denmark, just around freezing point, 0 degree Celsius).
Question:
- Occasionally the reverse lights are turned on during the heating phase.
Not full lights – just dimmed lights. Anybody knows why?
I can’t find any descriptions of this behaviour in owners’ manual.
Neither can I find any description of fuel consumption for the heater. Any advice?
Best regards
Flemming W
