Odd throttle response at times...

Once and a while I get a really odd throttle response from my 9-3. Seems only to happen in the mornings when motor is first on and isn't consistent. As I pull away from the house and go into second gear it simply "bogs down". Doesn't die but rather acts like it is flooding.
When it happens I back off throttle to coast up to the stop sign (50 feet or so) and can usually get normal performance from there on out. I once experienced some bucking after an initial throttle response that seemed good (accelerating away from stop sign) and also had one restart when I stalled errantly where the motor coughed to life like my manically carbureted Opel Manta race cars of past.
Replacing the plugs soon but wanted to know if anybody had thoughts on this. Look into cleaning intake plenum? Common trouble on Honda's but don't hear much of that on this site to date. Could be simply questionable fuel flow but I think that would pop up more reliably and frequently. DI?
If I opt to try some injector cleaner, what is recommended? I remember banter on this some time ago but haven't searched just yet.
Gas is always premium 93 since I've had it and the symptom doesn't seem temperature related.
