The 9-3 SS Linear Launch package will be replaced by the Linear Driver's package with Linears built on January 1, 2003 forward. Here's Saab's e-mail response to me:
"Any Linear vehicle that is built on Jan 1, 2003 forward will have the Driver's package. These vehicles are expected to be in the dealerships the end of January or beginning of February. Any Linear vehicle built up to Dec. 31, 2002 will come equipped with the Launch Package."
Both packages include:
- Saab Infotainment with 150 W and 7 speakers
- In-dash 6-disc CD changer
- Electrically adjustable driver's seat
The Launch package adds the following:
- Color-matched lower exterior trim
- Electrically operated glass sunroof
- 16" alloy wheels, 10-spoke
The Linear comes standard with 15" alloy wheels, 5-spoke. Once the Driver's package becomes available, the factory option for larger wheels on the Linear is to go with the Sport wheel package (lowered sport chassis and 17" alloy wheels, 5-spoke).
