I have a very short very steep driveway, and find the only way to get up it in the snow is to turn the TCS off. If not the system will shut down power and cause the engine to stall once the wheels start to slip. It doesn't seem to bother my progress in normal driving in the snow, but the car feels just fine with it turned off in those situations to.
