Find out what brands the in-dash unit and the changer are. You mentioned that this 9-3 does not have a single cd player in the dash. They could be different. Simply pull out the head unit from the dash. The dealer will have the "forks" to release it. You don't have to unplug anything, just pull it out and drop it down to read the back. It will take 10 seconds. It will say somewhere who made it and might even have a wiring diagram. Check if it has the big round DIN plug with the 90 degree connector plugged into the right side, if so, it's a Clarion head unit and changer. That's good news. My 99 9-3 has a Clarion head unit, single cd, and I just bought a used Saab cd changer made by Pioneer. These use a two-row, twelve pin plug. That's bad news. I haven't done the install yet but plan to do it myself. When the dealer starts talking about marriage and divorce their not Bullsugaring you. I will have to have mine "married" at the dealer. Anyhow, find out the brand of each and post a follow-up. There should be plenty of help here once you establish the brands.
