I pulled them with my fingernail and a small screwdriver. I just about crapped my pants when the screwdriver slipped! I came very close to scratching the paint. The adhesive from the 9-3 emblem was easy to scrape off with my fingernail. THe saab emblem was another story. I ended up having to use some maguire's cleaning compound I had in the garage. After the fact I wonder if the outside temp had anything to do with it. It was fairly warm the day I pulled the 9-3 emblem and cold the day I pulled the saab. If I had to do it again I'd try pulling the badge off and heating the remaining adhesive (carefully) with a hair dryer. I'll bet that would soften it up enough to scrape off with your fingernail. Even better, it might help to heat the entire emblem before pulling it.
