I bought an oil change kit online with 4qts of saab turbo engine oil, a saab filter and new style washer for $20, seems like a good deal. anyway, the turbo oil is semi synth. i have castrol regular 10w30, with 43k miles on the car i should be good to switch to semi synth and then full synth (mobil 1) unless someone replies otherwise eh? :P now to my question, what is saab turbo engine oil? I'm guessing saab doesn't have refineries etc so they just rebadge someone elses oil? Anyone use the stuff "religiously" or just use it? my dealer uses castrol, normally i'm an advocate of cheap oil ie not synthetic oil on a stock car but my car just expired warranty and isn't going to be stock much longer muahahahaha. I also of course advocate changing your oil on time every time. the reason i bought the kit is cuz it seemed a pretty good deal and this is the 1st time I'll change my own oil so I thought I could get my feet wet. also thought I'd use the semi synth as a bridge between castrol and mobil 1. So whassa line on saab turbo engine oil? Thanks
