OK, maybe that's pushing it alittle. YOu really want to extend the already insane oil change intervals? I can't believe they recommend 10K mile oil change intervals on a turbo car. On top of that they use semi-synthetic oil instead of full synthetics. The only reasoning I can imagine is that Saab offers free maintenance for 50K miles, so the fewer oil changes overall..the cheaper it is for them. They also know most engines will take the abuse for over 50K miles, after which they're off the warranty hook! So, please, use that maintenance book as a bare-bones minimum guideline. I can say I'll never go past 4K mile oil changes on my viggen. Heck, I've even done the same in my spg for the past 200K+.
