my 1999 9-3 viggen does that (stops anywhere) only sometimes - usually when I only half flick on the washers or hold them on for a very brief period, if I do it again and allow them to wash for at least a couple of seconds the the headlight wipers go back to their respective resting positions - well at least the right one does, the left one doesn't quite lay down flat, it is off the rubber resting spot at the far end. Only a bit but EVERYTHING SHOULD BE PERFECT IN MY WORLD!!!!! sorry, deep breathing - relax that's better now....I've noticed other saabs with the same affliction so I figured it's an alignment thing - I removed the headlight and had a look in there but the wiper mounting doesn't seem to have any adjustments, i might ask the dealer next time it gets serviced..any ideas anyone?
