I love my car.

A good bit of the south was hammered with a good snow fall (at least for the south, 5" is a blizzard). So here I am in my 9-3 with a fresh set of summer fun RE-730 GII's bolted on. Well, having no options I pressed on to make the journey to work.
The tires were great (no, certainly not snow tires but damn good for high performance summer tires in snow) offering decent traction on the fresh snow and on the ice. Better yet was the car. Gently out to third gear, it was so well balanced and controllable it was fantastic. Just scooted right along, nothing upset the handling or traction (nice having all the torque available down low).
I literally drove past stuck SUVs and trucks that for whatever reason (Bad tires? Bad drivers? Both?) didn't have the gusto or capacity of my 9-3. A set of good all-seasons or snow tires and this car would be a serious snow mobile!
Unfortunately traffic forced me to have to park and walk the remaining two miles to work (southerners + snow + early school/work closures = one giant parking lot). But at least my 9-3 is tucked safely in a parking lot awaiting my return in the morning (rode home with the wife).
I haven't had this much fun and snow capability since my illustrious 1984 Honda Civic Wagon (a true four door snow mobile). Now I've got to find a good set of all-season round things to put on the SAAB when summer ends!
Okay, enough blabbering... Just wanted to share with a bunch of SAAB geeks that could identify with my love of this car.
