I'm not sure if this will make you feel any better but I also feel that vibration in the shifter when I move it around while in third gear. Third seems to be the only gear that does this and it doesn't seem to do it all the time. I've only got 6,000 mile on my 2001 9-3 SE, and I do intend to point it out at the 10,000 service. I'll post any response from Service when I get it back.
