Hi,
I was hoping for advice on two questions regarding my 1999 9-3.

1. I just got the car and it came with an extra small key (i.e., no headstock/microchip) that appears to be made to keep in a wallet or enable you to open the doors if you're locked out.

Anyhow, I was curious if it's possible to get duplicates made of these keys or if they're only obtainable through a dealer. I guess they're "laser keys" and I just didn't know if local hardware stores or locksmiths could reproduce these as I'm sure it would be cheaper than going through Saab.

2. Does anyone have a recommendation for a system for their spare keys? I've heard that, for example, if you're on vacation and lose your keys, your only option is to have the car towed to a Saab dealer. I know with my old (non-techno!) truck, I always kept a spare door key under the bumper, and then hid an ignition key inside the truck. I just don't want to get in a position where I need to have it towed in, reprogrammed, etc. (sounds quite expensive!) or that I have to take two sets of keys with me anytime I live town.
