Viggen mirror swap?

Finally after about 20k miles and all the normal dealer visits for service I finally got a 9-5 aero as a loaner. I've been wanting to drive one since I got my 01 viggen but was always told they only had 9-3 loaners at my dealer. Anyway, without asking I was given a 02 aero with 3k miles in dark blue for the afternoon. A couple of comparisons I between it and the Viggen; definitely a better developed chassis on the aero, wind noise was improved but louder than I thought it would be vs my car, felt somehow less connected (too much steering damping?) to the road surface and leaned more in turns, if I were a commuter I could appreciate the automatic tranny but for my driving it just felt a lot less sporty when accelerating
and driving into and out of turns. Liked the car a lot and it was very fast especially from 20mph-60mph where you lose a bit of boost in 2'nd gear in the Viggen. The point of this post was to ask if anyone has ever swapped their rearview mirror in their 9-3 with one from a aero which has the much appreciated compass built into the glass. I am heading back to my dealer on monday as my check engine light came on the same day they completed my 20k service. I will ask them and report back.
