Viggen SAS install question (or, beating a dead horse)

OK, based on much feedback I have now accumulated a nice Sear's floor jack, jack stands, and a torque wrench. With the Viggen jack points are limited due to the trim to 2 (front and rear) on each side exposed by removing plastic covers.
The nuts and bolts part of the install seems easy enough, but getting my beloved Viggen properly raised is the only reason I still have not done the install. I got to leave early from work today hoping to do it, but instead I'll wait for feedback and do it tomorrow AM - weather in ATL will be nice finally. I'm lifting the rear of the car (obviously) and not really sure how to lift the car and place the jack stands. I'd frankly rather return the Craftsman goodies and pay my indy mechanic than risk damaging the car. At the same time I got such a good deal on all the stuff I'd rather make use of it now and later, once I know how.
The jack has a rotatable steel "cup" with grooves on the top of it - should work for the factory jack rail behind the plastic covers. The stands have a steel trough on top and also appear that they would work for the factory jack rails.
If use the rear jack points to jack the car, where do I put the jack stands? Or, do I jack somewhere else and put the jack stands where the rear rails are? Searching around the best I could find on the NG900 board was jack the car from the front jack points and this will raise both wheels enough to get the jack stands under the rear jack rail.
Anyone agree? Better ideas? Am I making sense? Am I just stoopid? Please keep explanations/suggestions in newbie terms . . . 8^)
TIA,
John
