Dear All:

Since my 9^5 still has snow tires on it, I decided to see just how good/bad the interor in the new 9^3 is. IMHO, it's not up to 9^5 or Japanese plastic quality, but above generic GM products, as good as my old 93 BMW 3 series. Good pick up, and comfortable seats--I am 6'5", I actually fit. Good stereo. Turns and stops on a dime. So far so good.

Anyway, while I was merging on to LIE with salesperson next to me, this new 9^3 just died. No matter how many we tried to start it, this silver 9^3 just won't crank, like it has a bad starter? It won't turn over at all.
We sat by freeway entrance for a good 30 minutes waiting for dealer's tow truck. Just moments before tow truck arrives, we decided to give it one last try, and it starts right up.

Has anyone had this happened to he or she during the brief ownership or test drive?
I have searched up and down this BB, and I saw 2 incidents somewhat like what I saw. One posted by Mike Lynch in San Diego.

I can live with 9^3's interior. I would much rather have a hatch---no flames please, but how can I and other potential SAAB owners feel comfortable owning this vehicle?

I am keeping my 9^5 for a few more years. My wife can drive her VW for a while more too.
BTW, we have had 2 other SAABs before our 9^5. My wife turned me into a SAAB owner.

Comments?
