Next time your in Colorado in the spring or summer drive up to the top of Mountain Evans. I did not have my Viggen at the time so I missed out! You can take the drive from an Idaho Springs exit off I-70. Stay on the main road and it will take you to 14K feet and is the highest paved road in North America. Its awesome up top and the drive up will test your nerves and your ability to handle the twisties - oh yeah there is no guard rail so don't screw up!
When I reached the top it was snowing (in August) and there were three RVs -- I am still amazed they could get up the narrow winding road. on my descent I put my 5 spd in neutral and never used the gas -- all the way back to I-70. Neat experience.
