Understeer is still possible with the SAS bar but greatly reduced. As expected the car corners flatter. I've noticed no degradation of ride quality as a result of the stiffer bar. I wasn't willing to spend as much as Abbott wants for their sway bar, and now that I've experienced the SAS bar I don't regret saving my money (does that make sense?).
The KICInnovations steering rack kit definitely makes a difference. It reduces the car's wandering tendencies in 1st and 2nd gear when you're standing on the gas, and the car just seems to steer more quickly and precisely. You should poke around on the performance group for more info on that kit. I got in on the first group buy and there was a second one in the making recently - I have no idea whether that went through or not. There were also folks over there prototyping a much cheaper alternative solution but I haven't followed it very carefully. Regardless, if you can't get your hands on the KICInnovations kit, the Abbott kit is still available, and while more expensive it contains all the parts you may eventually want anyway.
Cheers,
John
