'on'. As an owner of a C900 convertible I'm very aware of all the parasitic current draws our favourite marque can create. Did you know that on the classic Saabs if you leave your key in the ignition switch when the car is parked, like in your garage, that here is a higher current draw due to the security system polling the switch! I wonder if that is true on the 9-3s, maybe I'll get the multi-meter out and check. Today I'll replace my temporary battery with the new one from Saab but I did notice a better start with the temporary one even though it had been sitting for quite a while. As well, the new one isn't the same as the original, there is no place for the overflow tube to go, I guess that is only a factor for the original, European sourced, batteries - anybody know?
The surprising thing, when my wife took the battery in to the Saab dealer they just took my word that it was bad, they didn't test it at all, just picked one out of the parts department and gave it to my wife - no paperwork other than the mileage (56,xxx kilometres with the warranty good until late September 2003!).
