Stuck in snow

I have a 1999 Saab 93 Convertible with manual trans. About two weeks ago, during one of our Northeastern snow storms, I got stuck in our driveway.
I put the emergency brake on and went in to get my son so he could drive while I pushed. Well to make a long story short, he forgot to release the emergency brake. We pushed and dug and got nowhere with him gunning the engine and trying to rock the car out of the snow drift. At the time I smelled something burning. He finally realized the brake was on and released it. Now I'm worried that I might have some damage done to the clutch or something else. The car seems to drive the same way it did before but I'm really worried. Can anyone tell me if there is anything I should be looking for in the way of future repairs, Etc..
