Let others correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the clutch and the brake system share the same hydraulic resevoir. If your clutch isn't wearing out (usually characterized by increasing amounts of slipping, and then leading to the gear grinding etc.) you probably have a leak somewhere in the hydraulic system, specifically between the master and slave cylinder. Does your pedal feel any different from day to day?
You may have air in the lines, which isn't letting you fully disengage the clutch, even when the pedal goes to the floor. I'm not sure how temperature would come into play, unless air in the system was expanding in warmer temperatures and getting pumped with no effect, thus not allowing your clutch to move the proper amount in proportion to the pedal movement.
I don't know how you "bleed" the clutch, but that might be the solution. Make sure your brakes are ok too!
Best,
Lutfisk
