I think your 2000 Viggen has the Trionic-7 engine management,in which case you can't use a manual boost control to increase boost anyway.
Your engine computer is too clever to be fooled by an MBC, as I think it uses a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor and an electrically actuated throttle plate, and will try to adjust mixture etc. in stange ways if you mess with its boost routing. We lucky 1999 9-3 owners have the old T-5 system, which uses a MAP (measures intake pressure) You may want to search here and on the performance board for T-7 speed upgrades. A tuner ECU is probably the easiest way to increase boost with your system...
I can't imagine a Viggen not being fast enough!
