It really depends what cars you are comparing it to. The Viggen is not a small car like a Acura Integra or an Acura RSX. It weighs more than them and is just overall a larger car. When you are accelerating the car leans back taking the weight off the front wheels and onto the back which leades to the lack of traction in the front. The integra and rsx if that is what you are comparing to also have a lower center of gravity and will not lean as much as the viggen. The integra may have more ground clearance but the viggen is overall taller and has a higher center of gravity. Second of all the viggen has more power and loads more torque. I dont think that an integra could cope with 258 ft-lbs of torque either unless it had further suspension mods, but i could be wrong. With the viggen, the power is instantanious and i think that the boost comes on almost too fast. If the boost came on more gradually and extended into higher RPM's than the wheels would not spin as much and the car would have more top end power. There are really no other high power FWD cars that i can think of besides those and the cadillac STS which they mention in the Road and Track article about the viggen when it was released. The STS does also have the torque steer problem but not nearly as bad, it is much more stable since it is wider. It also doesnt have enough torque for its weight to cause the same level of torque steer.
