Hello.
I used to use the highest grade possible (92+), however, I just started using mid grade exclusively (89). I honestly have not seen anything different -- everything is normal, even performance). I feel its safe to use and I have faith it won't hurt anything. I always felt high grade was overkill anyway. Save yourself some money. And I honestly don't think low grade it will hurt either. Try it. I would. The only reason I stick with mid is cause its still cheap and I get a discount where I buy gas so its about the same amount.
I even read once that high grade fuel burns too hot for some engines and can cause excessive ware. I also read that there isn't really any difference between low and high grades...just $$$. I can't remember where I read that so don't quote me. Anyway. Good luck and post your results.
