You'll pay extra for a warranty you'll probably never get to use before it runs out. Certified pre-owned gives you and extra 2 years from the "in service date" or 100K whichever comes first. You have factory warranty until 2006 or 50K. Certified would take you to 2008 or 100K miles. Unless you drive over 20K miles a year it may not be worth it because that time will run out before you even get close to 100K miles buying a car that only has 1000 miles on it. In addition, I'm betting that you'll keep it off the road in the winter since it is a "special" car in that it is the last production year for the Viggen :o( Of course, you may live in a place like Florida you lucky &*^*( and can drive your baby all year.
The certified pre-owned works well when you buy a car that has more miles.
At 1000 miles the dealer "shouldn't" have to do anything to the car to bring it up to spec for the certified program. That work is where alot of the cost of that particular warranty is.
That is my opinion which may be based on faulty logic.......which has happened before ;o)
Good luck whatever you decide......
