If the car is legitimate and there are no keys, it probably was repossession. How else would the prior owner hang on to all of the keys but part with the car? The value at auction had to be a little weird as car could not be started to test whether it has a sound engine or not. Was it flatbedded everywhere? But, through the VIN it may be possible to locate the idendity of the former owner, locate the owner, and try to obtain even just one of their keys. If you have one, then the computer unlocks and you win "cheap". Cheap that is if you consider that when I bought an insurance third key for my 2001 to keep at home for that emergency loss of the first two, the cost of the key part was $150 with another $35 for labor and tax to reprogram the car for all three keys.
