15" vs 16"? The only supplier who pulled out was the 15" tire supplier, Michelin. Base cars have never gotten 15" wheels, but have all come with the 16" wheel shown in the Arc (so why didn't they give customers a discount on the launch package, but that's another story).

The 17" wheel package is referred in Saab literature as simply "17" and all the cars we've received have the 17" wheels and the sport chassis. You can tell because the car sits lower with the 17" package, not because of the tire, because of the suspension. There's less room between the top of the tire and the fender. It's obvious when parked side by side.

Some cars coming still have 16" wheels at no charge. Some cars have 16" wheels with a $500 charge. One's labeled 16" for short the other 16$, guess which has the charge.

We did have one snowbound guy on this BB swap his 17" for 16"s. So there is a 16" car with a set of 17's on it, but it's not in the MSRP and they didn't swap the lower springs, just the wheels and tires. A dealer would still be justfied in charging the $1,000 for the 17"s without the chassis, but again, it wouldn't be on the facotory window sticker.
