I put a quaife in my 94 set, that's had a bunch of stuff done to it, and the difference is pretty amazing. A ton more traction and a big reduction in torque steer. It's still easy to spin the tires in low traction conditions, but that's just too much power driving the wrong wheels. And the racelogic traction control helps that. As far as normal driving you don't even know the quaife is there, just more traction with no down side. Clutch type lsd's will cause funny driving characteristics, like wheel chatter and tight steering around corners but the torque bias diffs don't have those issues. I've heard that in extreme race conditions quaife style diffs are not the answer, but I've no experience with that, also heard from SQR that they've broken a quaife with too much power, but it must take a ton.
Biggest downside is the cost, diff is about $1300 then putting it in is probably and easy $2k, since you'll do a clutch and replace any wear items in the trans while you are there
