Mine has chips also; on my list of touchups to do.
First clean the whole grill mesh with cleaner & brush. Then put some heavy paper or cardboard behind it to catch overspray. Then mask you bumper area right up to the mesh using masking tape and newspaper. Hit the chipped spots with a primer. Then hit them with any good quality semi-gloss or flat black from your hardware store. Let the dry a bit and then dust the entire grill area with 2 more coats. Total outlay $5 & 30 minutes.
