I did this on my old 16v Scirocco that had bubbled tint. You need to get yourself a window scraper that takes standard straight edge blades and get some mineral spirits (de-natured alcohol may work too with much less fumes). Start scraping! Use the spirits to get the glue off, use lots of rags. Be very careful doing the hatch window, because if you scrape off one of those little wire lines, rear defrost won't work so good. You may also want to check with a tint shop and see if they sell anything that will soften the tint glue so you can just peel it off. It's a pretty messy, time consuming job, but it can be done at home! Good luck!
