Driving a turbocharged Saab is, in true fact, an art-form but thats what makes the car so damned fun to drive. Even the pre-2003 185bhp 2.0 turbo has torque steer so the Viggen must be even more of a handful but you have to drive a Saab with respect. Yes, if you floor the gas from a full stop you will get torque steer and you will soon find yourself grabbing second gear in a nano-second! Wait until you have hit the top of the torque peak in second (about 2000rpm) before you give the car some real gas. This may sound like it'll take a long time but I can assure you the whole process will take less than 2 seconds. You will find your adrenalin pumping like crazy and have a HUGE smile on your face!
Driving a Saab is totally unlike driving any other car and if you treat her with respect you will be totally hooked after your test drive!!! Good luck and I look forward to reading your review!!!
