I mentioned in my last post (yesterday) that the CEL came on a day after I had picked up the car from the body shop - where it was being repaired for two weeks (besides cosmetic front end damage, they had to replace intercooler and AC condenser). My mechanic cleared the message (engine running rich and told me to let him know if it comes back on).
This morning, I started the car and no light came on. Then I stopped to get gas (premium grade). I re-started the car and drove off after getting the gas - 5 minutes after this, the CEL light came back on??? The car seems to be running ok, but I don't want to take any chances.
Any ideas as to what to look for here? Could it be O2 sensor, vacuum leaks, or is it related to the parts recently installed (intercooler and AC condenser)? The car is a 1999 9-3 with 79,000 miles. I would appreciate any help at this point. Thanks!
