Incentives vs Financing

I think that taking the incentives is better than taking 0% financing, even if number crunching leads to a saving with 0% (assuming a difference of less than $1,000). My reasoning is that to get the full benefit of 0% you must keep the car for 5 years, I think that most people tend to turnover their cars more often (maybe not Saab owners). If you trade/sell your car in or perhaps wreck it, its seems that you would come out ahead because you would get a better effective trade-in/salvage value and you would stop paying interest on the original loan. Also, you might decide to pay-off your original loan after a couple of years and then you'd be ahead of the game. Opinions?
