Headlight swtich light burned out?

Hi folks,
When driving at night, pretty much all my buttons are illuminated, except for my headlight switch. I think it used to be. In fact, I also recall that it used to get quite warm to the touch. Maybe that's because of the lightbulb inside.
Anyhow, the three headlight setting symbols are no longer illuminated on my switch. Should they be? Is there an easy fix for this?
Thanks,
Nemo
