I have taken my Viggen into some hard turns and never questioned the handling. That said I was unhappy with the body roll, but the car still stuck to the road like glue. I never got to go to the VFA, but I am sure anyone who attended can attest to the actual handling of the Viggen. In all honesty the body roll was one of the things I hated most about the Viggen and drove me towards buying a 2002 aero vs. buying a 4 door Viggen. I didn't spend much time in the Contour SVT so I really can't tell, but it didn't feel any tighter in the curves than my BMW 3 series I had at the time.
To Ford's credit -- the fact that the SVT handled as good as a BMW that cost $10K+ more says a lot. Saab has also come a long way with the aero and the new 9-3SS handling!
