I too think the plastic(s) Saab used on the interior of my 2002 SE CV could be of better quality; You can see the seams where the plastic was joined on the handbrake. Also, the plastic around the ignition is all scratched and has little dings (and I only have one key chain...no other keys!) And I know this one is my mistake -- doggie feet have destroyed my glove box...its loaded with scratches.
I dunno, its just my opinion, but I gotta say, I have a 99 Passat and the plastic materials used inside are first-rate, aligned correctly, and scratch/scuff free, despite taking a hell of a lot more abuse.
Now if they could just use plastic that is as good as the leather...
Just my two cents.
