It's highly recommended against on these newer turbos with a more sophisticated air metering system. Once the air passes the sensor, it's "accounted" for, and will receive fuel as appropriate. When the throttle plate closes (as on an upshift), that air has to go somewhere, so it is re-circulated to prevent the shockwave from going back into the turbo vanes. It circles around until the plate opens again and then the air (and associated fuel) can enter the cylinders. If you get an atmospheric blow-off valve, your engine will stumble and run rich when you let off the gas, since it functions like an air leak each time you shift.
