My leather got scratched :-(

As careful as *I* am with my car, apparently, people who ride in my passenger seat are not. I discovered after giving a friend a lift home today that there was a very noticeable scratch (gouge, even?) on the seat. Is there any way to repair it and make it look undamaged again? It is not ripped, but it's enough of an eyesore that it annoys me. Help!
Thanks in advance,
Mike Connors
