here's what I can suggest after almost 2 years of happy ownership:
1) scrapes on bottom of front bumper - normal, and you'll add to the collection
2) definately check for bent wheels (a hint can be an excess of stick-on wheel weights)
3) check service records. 99's don't specify synthetic oil (unless T7 Viggens specified this...I'm not sure), but if it's on the service records, then that's an added bonus.
4) ask the owner if they replaced the DI cassette. At 40k, it's probably not time for replacement, but since it's off warranty, it would be nice to know if it's been done or not.
5) other than that, check the general condition of the car. If it's clean (and not just washed...check nooks and crannies for dirt and grime) and reasonably dent-free, you probably have a good example of one.
They're a total hoot to drive, and you won't regret getting one, should you feel that it meets your needs.
Cheers, and good luck!
Mark
