c9-3 suspension differences?

Am I allowed to call it a c9-3?

In any case, I've been trying to determine the differences in suspension among the different years and trim levels.

First, I looked at the specs in the saabnet model year info area. By year, here's how it breaks down:

1999: no mention of difference between base and SE
2000: SE gets sport-tuned suspension
2001: no mention of difference
2002: base model dropped, SE premium package includes sport chassis

I also looked at saabpartsdirect.com for part numbers. They didn't have anything on springs, but on shocks, I found the following parts:

SA075662: 1998-2002 front shock standard suspension
SA075663: 1998-2002 front shock sport suspension & viggen
SA075664: 1998-2002 front shock convertible
SA075665: 1998-2002 front shock standard suspension incl convertible
SA075666: 1998-2002 front shock sport suspension & viggen incl convertible

Ok, so who can make sense out of this? My thought from the model year info is that 1999 all cars had base suspension, 2000 the SE got an upgrade, 2001 the base model got the upgrade, and 2002 the premium package got an additional upgrade. However, for 2002 the SE lost ACC (only available with the premium package) so I wonder if they downgraded other components (like the suspension) to the old base level as well?

Thinking of tuning suspension at some point, but I don't want to lower the car, at least not 1" or more.
