Newer Moda rims are purportedly made much better than older original ones found on earlier Vigs.
Personally, if money isn't too much of an objection I would recommend BBS and then Ronal.
Alternately, I bought a set of Sport Edition Techno style rims from TireRack because they are low priced and well made. Finish and form on the Sport Edition rims is excellent (especially for the price) and they seem to be holding up to the rigors of city driving quite well.
Remember that part of the rim problem in general is the profile/care of the tires mated to them. Lower profile tires can lead to easier rim damage with pothole encounters/curbs/etc. Remember to check pressures often so your 50 or 45 series tires can hold up to any unavoidable/unexpected impacts.
