EBC pads problem on 99 9.3. Real bad...

My mechanic installed the new EBC rotors and Greenstuff pads last monday.
My OEM rotors and pads were worn at 43000 miles.
There' s a bad scrubbing / rubbing noise when I brake and the bite is not nearly as good than with my old brakes. I't limit dangerous. I've been careful to warn my mechanic not to put back the shims or anti rattle device as noted on the instructions.
I did several 60 to 20 mph hard breaking to bed them in as I read on this BB, but no improvment.
There's no scratches on the rotors and it's quiet when i don't break. So it's not the shield. I also had the breaks bled.
I don't understand. It's like I have wood pads! I can't believe this product perform that bad, it must be defective.
Moreover I have as much break dust than before...
Any input? Similar experience.
I guess I should have listened to some warnings I read here a while ago.
Thank you.
ERIC.
