I always had the experience that the Bostons have a more pronounced mid range, I think that they have a little better detail as well, more music -less "sizzle". I have had experience with the Rally series from BA though. Not sure about the PRO series. If you are a real audio junkie, look into MB Quart, KEF, Diamond, and Focal too. The Boston are good for the money. Focal is a bit pricey.
Are you running an amp? Stock head? If so, not much point going all out in speakers, the stock head is the weak link in this chain.
Im not an "audiophile" but I do enjoy better than average music reproduction, I have NAD at home.
